本句中it was a real bargain意为“‘真便宜”，相当于it's a good deal.类似的口语表达还有:
1 ) This skirt was such a bargain.这条裙子真便宜。
2 ) They had a good price on it。他们出的价钱很低。

bargain本义为“讨价还价”。如:
